Overview |
In London Below there's a real Earl at Earl's Court, presiding over a tube train. There is an angel named Islington and a floating market at Harrods where strange figures exchange goods and information. Immersed in this other world, Richard accompanies Door, along with her protectors–the fearless warrior-woman, Hunter, and the devious but charming Marquis de Carabas–as they continue their journey, barely a step ahead of the terrifying assassins, Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar.
Trapped, hunted, and desperate to return to a "real" world that seems increasingly distant, Mayhew's odyssey takes him through a mesmerizing world of magic–where time stagnates in forgotten corners, secret portals open into realms of mystery, and from which he can never truly escape. |
