Overview
Un extra-terrestre atterit avec son vaisseau spatial en plein cœur de Washington D.C. Accompagné d'un robot hautement destructeur, il quitte son navire et prend contact avec les humains. Ainsi début l'un des classiques les plus fameux de l'histoire de la science-fiction. L'extra-terrestre Klaatu (Michael Reenie) exige des humains de vivre enfin en paix. Car dans le cas contraire, la terre sera le lieu d'une catastrophe inimaginable. Nul ne prend son avertissement au sérieux, sauf la belle Helen Benson (Patricia Neal) et un scientifique (Sam Jaffe). Lorsque Klaatu se rend compte que sa mission risque de ne mener à rien, il démontre au monde son pouvoir et ceci d'une façon que personne ne pourra jamais oublier...
